Essential Oils
Essential oils are extracted from plants and herbs, creating the purest concentration of high-vibrational plant medicine. These oils contain the essence of the entire plant. Like crystals, the stable frequencies of these oils can restore balance and health to humans and animals. Because we're dealing with energy, the essence of each plant is associated with healing certain organs and disorders as well as emotions and concepts.
For instance, Frankincense is known for its ability to remove blemish and dissolve, sometimes breaking down tumor masses, as well as its propensity to address masculine energies, specifically one's feelings about the concept of father. Lemongrass is antiseptic and antibacterial, making it a wonderful tool for cleaning; this oil is also excellent at clearing energy, removing blockages and freshening up the energy field.
There are a variety of ways to use essential oils: topically, internally, or aromatically. CAUTION: Always read the labels of your oils carefully before ingesting. Food grade oils are the only type recommended for internal use. Also, use caution when applying topically. Dilute the essential oil in a carrier oil, such as coconut, almond or sesame oil. Some oils such as cinnamon, cassia or oregano are quite spicy and create a burning sensation when taken topically or internally.
Aromatic use is most commonly recommended with a diffuser or direct inhalation. Place a few drops in a diffuser, using a different oil each week/day to support the energy currently in focus. During meditation and yoga practice, inhale the aroma of the oil for a few deep breaths, allowing the essence to enter your body and altar your vibration.
For practice, apply one drop of oil to your wrist. Rub your arms together, bringing your wrists in front of your face. Take a few deep breaths and observe. Repeat for several different oils, taking a moment to observe between each one. You may apply the oil directly to the skin or over the clothing. Some oils may burn your skin so use a carrier oil and/or test on the back of your hand first.
